The environmental impact of consumer choices is not revealed, and consumers cannot easily distinguish between a good and a bad choice of purchase. We want to make a change to this by providing consumers with information about each product’s environmental impact.

 

The S8 app will use payment or barcode technologies to visualise:

• The environmental impact of all products of a purchase

• Suggest more environmentally friendly alternatives

• Track the positive impact of choosing environmentally friendly products and visualise it with “an environmental step counter”
